.... we know that Yoshkar Ola in Russia is still the Scammer stronghold but also there live women which became Vic's of US-Military-Romancescams.

Marriage swindler deceived two million rubles from Yoshkarolinka

criminal proceedings initiated

A resident of Yoshkar-Ola corresponded with a marriage swindler for nearly six months. During this time, the woman handed him about two million rubles. When the woman realized she had been deceived, she called the police. This was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Mari El.

On May 24, it was revealed that a 57-year-old Yoshkarolina turned in to police while on duty. She told how she met a foreigner on a social network and they began an affair by correspondence. The man introduced himself as a military doctor from the United States and said he was serving in Venezuela under contract.

At the end of January he told her about the shooting in Venezuela and the attack on her camp. After that, he said that he was planning to take early leave and asked the woman to help with this: write a letter to the organization asking him to give him leave. Yoshkarolinka agreed.

Then she received a reply message from the organization stating that the "husband's" vacation was approved 4-8 weeks earlier. But she has to pay almost 90,000 rubles to the given card number, since she urgently needs to find a replacement for him. The victim at first had doubts, but after the request of the “beloved” nevertheless agreed. He also promised to return the money as soon as he flew home to America.

In addition, the organization demanded another 154,000 rubles for the flight from Venezuela. Then it turned out that the man had arrived in Finland in order to get from there to Russia. Supposedly he wanted to meet her and pay off. Then it turned out that in Finland the coronavirus is not released. Then his dog fell ill, and 113,000 rubles were needed for treatment. After that, an alleged military operation began, and he urgently needed to fly to America instead of Russia. But his accounts were frozen and he asked them to send more than 230,000 rubles. Every time Yoshkarolinka transferred money to him. For this, the man already promised from the USA to send the bride a valuable cargo: in the package, as he said, $ 50,000 would be hidden.

“After that, the woman already received a letter from the transport company demanding money for the delivery of the package and payment of customs duties,” reports the press service of the department millions of rubles for this purpose. But the woman was informed that the package was detained by the airport“ Vnukovo "and will be confiscated if five thousand dollars are not paid for it. Yoshkarolinka herself went to Moscow to sort out the situation. And only then she realized that she was the victim of a scam.

Based on this fact, the investigative department of the Ministry of Interior of Russia for the city of Yoshkar-Ola opened a criminal case under the article "Fraud".
