What about Russian Language Social nets?

Hello folks,
I never looked into it too much I do not understand Russian. A few years back I used Babelfish translator to sign up for a few Russian portals. Namely Rambler, Yandex , mail.ru , and Vkontakte . What do you think is it worth browsing these networks for scammers. It is just I find it very hard I need to use Babelfish everywhere I go in these networks. Rambler does have a dating site within it, I know scammers are there. Sorry I do not use cell phone. They require you use a cell phone to verify your identity.

I am not sure if I want to work these Russian portals. I know there are scammers there. Do you know what messenger Russians use? ICQ just saying . Any baiters understand Russian?

no, registering there for baiting is a waste of time. Of course scammers are everywhere, but Russian scammers are targeting foreigners, not their own people. Maybe there are few scammers there after few foreigners registered there, but you will be wasting your time.

However, if you want to meet a real Russian woman, that would be a good idea, much better then using lousy expensive scummy marriage agencies.

thanks, I have seen the odd dater using stolen pictures. I think I posted a report about one. Just saying. No I am not interested in any online dating. My only interest in online dating is to find scammers and post them up. That is all.

I didn't realize you were talking about Nigerian scammers, and especially Senegal, of course they are everywhere - on Russian, Chinese, Arabic sites... I thought you were talking about Russian scammers.

But still, it's not worth it, registering on non-English sites to catch them, while there are sooooo many English-language sites they infest!! LOL

well in terms of catching scammers it is really about evaluating ones time and using most of their time where larger numbers of scammers have profiles. I am already on those and spend alot of time on those dating sites and social nets. My time is shot anyhow so sometimes I dabble on some unlikely places. Take for instance GreekDate or AthensDate. This site is not english although has english version. Most of the profiles do not use english. A small percentage use english. I am browsing it right now. I have come up with about 20 profiles using stolen pictures. I am hot listing the russian ones that are in english. I hot list ones that use phrases i associate with Senegal scammers. I bet I find over 100 scammers out of this dating site before I am through. GreekDate is not primarily an english site.
