Found him on PoF. We moved to Google chat after a few conversations. Very charming individual. Talked for about 2 months. First time speaking to a fake military guy. Said he wanted to mail his personal stuff to me. That it cost 500 dollars. I didn't give it to him. Everything was fine until about 1 week before the 2 months. Told me he couldn't access his bank card. Told me that he will be getting his severance pay. That he wants me to have half but I need a bank account for it. Kept pressuring me to open one up and give him the info. I was ignorant and tried to open one up. Thank god I didn't get qualified. Said he can leave early but he had to pay for his own way home.
I was talking to my daughter when she was like RED FLAG,RED FLAG. So I looked up romance scams and came across military romance scams. Found the intro I needed. Checked off every red flag that there was.
Confronted him, about not needing a bank account, that the military pays for their own. That they pay for them to come home. If he is who he says he is he can video chat with me, that the military encourages it. Haven't heard from him since.
Found him on my PoF matches a second time. Reported it. Now I'm here letting you all know.
