A report of fraud from a resident of Germany was sent to the Mari El Police Department. This was announced by the press service of the Ministry of the Interior of the RME.

The victim met the Yoshkarolyn on a dating site and they began a friendly relationship. He lured more than two million rubles from a foreigner since October 2020. The man told the victim that he needed money to borrow money for groceries, utilities and house maintenance. He wanted to help him transfer money.

The attacker was soon found, it turned out to be a 37-year-old local resident. His computer, phone and bank cards were confiscated. He confessed to the act, he spent all the money on personal needs.
