Ukraine cyber police together with German law enforcement agencies

The cyber police, along with German law enforcement agencies, has exposed a member of a transnational fraudulent group who is a 40-year-old citizen of Ukraine.
"As part of international cooperation, cyber police in the Kharkiv region uncovered the 40-year-old co-organizer of the fraudulent plan. A citizen of Ukraine and an acquaintance received compromised bank account details from EU citizens in hacker forums. The attackers used this data to make various purchases in online shops for the victims' money, "the statement said.
The attackers also created job boards and recruited sales representatives. The administrative system created by commercial agents sent goods and ensured the resale of the goods to Eastern European countries. Members of the criminal group received compensation in electronic wallets.
The total damage to the victims amounts to more than 18 million UAH.
