Hey, I signed up because google images pointed me to this site.
I'm talking to this guy right now, we met at MEEFF and now we're in contact via telegram.
He introduced himself as Hyun Woo, a 43-year-old captain who has been in Yemen on a 3-year contract for 15 months.
He grew up in Georgia, Atlanta, USA, his parents are from Korea. Father was a cook, mother was a teacher, both are dead.
He had a sister, but she died in an accident with his parents.
The email address he gave me is whyun882@gmail.com
His telegram username is: @hyunwoo0511
Unfortunately, it is impossible to call him, because he has disabled this option in his account settings.
I've been talking to him for a short time and so far he hasn't tried to extort any money from me, but if it changes I will definitely write here

I was scammed by this man too, stationed in Kabul, same story parents died in accident when he was three then he got adopted in Miami Florida where his foster parents died of cancer. He had no choice to go to military Korean. Travels to Korea to visit. Wants to settle down. Would like to take me to Korea to show me around. Blah blah blah. He’s good, almost fell for it. He found me on Instagram as Chan Young and chatted with him on Skype. Have blocked him now. This was just last week. He was getting mad that I sent him a TikTok of him and his fake MEEFF accts. Told me to delete my comments and will work on it to report. Hahaha he’s a very handsome man but really, he could have any women if he wants in real life.. All his photos were amazing in the Instagram acct. if only he was real lol be very aware of this fake person. I don’t usually respond to anyone in any social media. I don’t add anyone I don’t know on social media. Take care out there.
Hi! I'm from Argentina and this "person" appeared at HelloTalk. He said he was at the army...and so on. As the same other users. I left here somos photos of KakaoTalk.

This guy friend requested me on Facebook about two weeks ago. He asked me to download Line and add him there. Used the name Kim Dae-Hyun and was so incredibly sweet, romantic and his pictures were stunning. He claimed to be 40 years old, on a peace-keeping mission in Somalia and was a sniper.
He said his dad died four years ago, his mum was in North Korea with his younger sister and he didn't know if they were dead or alive. He said he'd been born and raised until he was 12 years old in Manitoba Canada which is why his English was so good. He wanted to meet me in person when his mission was up in two years.
Never asked for my email address or phone number. Always asked if I had eaten, wanted to marry me, called me his queen and asked me all the time about his kids. My cats. He knew what to say to please me but my gut was telling me there was something off about him. He told me he put in his resignation letter to the U.N (???) and they'd give him a date later in the week that he could retire.
I constantly asked him if he was for real. He seemed too good to be true. Until this morning. He contacted me on Line and after telling me how much he loved and missed me, which he told me in every single message, he said the powers that be will only let him resign if they can replace him. Replacing him would be very expensive at $10,000.00 and he couldn't get to his bank accounts.
I lost my temper, I told him he was out of luck then, I knew he was a scammer coz he was just too good to be true, he could try this shit on someone else, I was outta there. He was replying "how could you say I am a scammer? You obviously never loved me!" not that I ever told him I did.
I did however tell him he was the first guy in over 10 years to get under my skin and I was infatuated, intrigued and in lust. I am so embarrassed. I deleted the Line app whilst he was typing madly and he is still on Facebook under this ID, 대현김 .
I have no money, no real estate and no connections. He picked a waste of time with me. Sadly, I miss him. Bloody shithead.
Please ladies, watch out for him, he's so good, it's scary.
I got contacted by him today on Instagram. Korean living in Miami, in the military in Kabal blah blah blah. So obvious it's a scam. But so funny to see how desperate he is. Contacted me under the name Chan Young.
Hi everyone. I recently have been talking to a man called Park Hyeok Gyu. He said that his dad died when he was nine, and that his mom died when he was nineteen. He said that he is in the Korean military. So far he hasn't asked me for money or anything like that. But when I did a reverse look up with his photos, I found this site. When I confronted him today, he said that he doesn't give out current photos because scammers steal his photos. And that he has been trying to get fake profiles taken down. But what confirmed it for me was that when he video chatted me, he was keeping something in front of camera so it was dark. He proceeded to tell me that I was the one covering the camera and that he was telling the truth. I don't know what to believe. I'm extremely hurt because I liked him regardless if he was the person or not. I just don't like liars. I feel so stupid, and I am hurting right now. I will post some of the photos he has sent me.
I'm actually talking to a guy using this profile, from Interpals. He asked for gift card I said that's a scammer would ask, he keeps talking to me even if he did not have him money for now. He is supposed to give me an email address I wish to find the IP
Well, here it is July 2024 and he's still at it. This time he was on Interpals and was under KimYoon_86318. We connected on Telegram. Told me he was 43 and had a 13 year old daughter. That his parents divorced when he was 14 and his sister 10 and his mom and sister took off and he hasn't been able to find them and only found his dad last year. When I asked who raised him, he changed the subject. He changed the subject often and if the conversation got deep, he asked if we could change the conversation because he wanted to know more about me. He was employed with the military and had been there 20 years and had put in for early retirement and wanted to move to West Virginia and start a car business. I happen to be somewhat familiar with Korea and Korean culture and my daughter who is 32 has been into Korean culture since she was 12 so there were some things I said and asked that the answers just didn't quite jive with what I knew. When he posted the military picture, my daughter read the name on the uniform and we did a search and found this site. He had mentioned about being scammed himself previously and when confronted tried to make me feel bad for questioning him and that it was the scam he referred to and that it ruined his life and he lost his job, lost friends and was sued. When I asked him about losing his job but yet he said he'd been at this job for 20 years, his comment was " Yes, I also lost my job in 2021 because of this", but that doesn't make sense if he's been employed with the military for 20 years. But I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt because the conversation was good. I asked for a video call which he said he would do. When we tried, it had a hard time connecting but I heard enough to know it was not a Korean accent but more like Nigerian or similar. I typed in I was done and deleted the chat and the app. I also had just watched a video on Youtube by a former CIA agent about how to spot a psychopaths, sociopath and narcissist. That was good timing! I've posted the pictures below that he used.
I feel stupid for being open and vulnerable as this is the 2nd time this has happened but I'm glad it didn't go as far as it did with others. But it wouldn't have mattered because I have no money to send to anyone and I am trusting but it doesn't go that far. That's why the first one ended. He asked for money also and then I started digging. It's frustrating that people are out there doing that when all I (we) want is someone to talk to and feel special and they prey on that. Ugh.
Hello, a few days ago the same man contacted me on Instagram (a few photos were the same on his Instagram profile as the ones posted here) giving the name Park Hoon (and some numbers). I don't even remember what they were because I blocked him today and deleted the messages.
I knew from the beginning, that he was definitely not Korean, because when I asked him his name and surname he got completely confused and couldn't tell which was the first name and which was the last name.
Of course, like a typical cheater, he started the conversation with the word "Dear", which he repeated at the beginning of each subsequent sentences. Personally, I don't like being called that way, so I immediately suggested, that we call each other by our first names.
And that was a "bull's eye" because I know a lot about Korea and almost everything related to this country. The poor guy got so confused in what he wrote, that I sometimes felt sorry for him.
During those five days he rarely contacted me because I wrote to him, that I didn't like such sudden, overly close online relationships and that I didn't believe in love at first sight. His knowledge of English was non-existent, although he wrote that he spoke the language fluently. I think he didn't understand what I wrote to him at all.
A lot of people should be offended or feel very hurt when his future "victim" immediately writes:" I know you're a fraud. I have no money. I don't have a house. I don't have a car. I'm married and have children" (I literally wrote that).
He posed as a Korean officer on a peacekeeping mission in Yemen, on behalf of the UN. It seems to me, that he was either from some region in Africa.
This supposedly Korean soldier, pretended to be a complete orphan, without siblings, without friends, grew up in the USA in an orphanage but grew up to be a decent citizen.
When I asked him what school he graduated from: no answer. When I asked him where he was born in Korea: no answer. Where he has this beautiful house in Korea and in the USA: no answer. What he is interested in, he replied: reading newspapers. What is his assigned job in the Unit: paperwork.
He wrote things like: I fell in love at first sight, you're an angel or a fairy and similar nonsenses. I'm not looking for love or a relationship because I have a successful personal life. I think that my life experience and age, allow me to quickly find out whether someone is telling the truth or lying. It is known, that there are a lot of scammers and probably just as many people who get scammed. There is no point in wondering why scammers act like this, because the matter is clear: for money.
It is just a pity, that young or old people, men or women who have had some failed relationships or are simply lonely, get fooled by some "beautiful" words.
I myself really like talking to different people. I ask a lot of questions and try to answer the questions asked, but it was impossible to talk to this guy about anything.
There was no request for money. I already knew what the "soldier on mission scam" was and I was wondering when such a request would happen. But believe me, these conversations were so boring, that I didn't want to waste my time any longer.
I hope that each of us will pay attention to what people we don't know write to us.
