Residents of Mari El in Cheboksary deceived the Chinese who were looking for women in Russia

They wanted to bring their loved ones home

The Cheboksary police caught the residents of Mari El who cheated the Chinese. This was reported by the press service of the Chuvash Ministry of Internal Affairs.

As reported in the department, the drug police decided to search one of Cheboksary's apartments on Shumilova Street. There they found SIM cards, bank cards, several smartphones and laptops.

As it turned out, men from Mari El rented the apartment. They extorted money from people in China who were looking for women in Russia. The scammers met each other on their respective websites and communicated on behalf of the girls. The Chinese invited them to raise a family, for which they were willing to bear the expense. Foreigners transferred money on cards to scammers, after which they stopped communicating with them.

Criminal proceedings have now been initiated because of three statements made by residents of the Middle Kingdom. The victims live in Wuhan, Xining and Ganzhou. The damage from the actions of malefactors made
3 million rubles.
