Another high end dating oil rig scammer. If you meet someone on an online dating app claiming to live in your city it is not unrealistic to ask their full name if they are pushing to go off the platform you've met on.

"Linda" refuses to give you her surname on WhatsApp. What appears to be a well planned scam falls to pieces for them once off site. You ask a question and it's ignored, nothing new there. They might answer and delete their reply immediately.

Linda is a 55 year old Australian woman from Sydney of Portuguese descent. Single, no children or family. An oil technical contractor on her "last contract" at the Maraden Point oil refinery. Claims to be on an oil rig 30km off the coast of Taranaki New Zealand in the Kupe natural gas field.

Please note: The third image is used in another profile and unknown to them when I took the screenshot of their profile the "other" profile appeared. As I am still working that scam it's blurred out at this point.

Admin, second time you've said this and I accept. I've read the rules and see many posts with no payment methods or any notes such as you've left here.

The information provided. Someone who refuses to give their name and I ask you please research the data included. The oil rig does not exist and "Linda" cannot physically be "30km offshore" when the oil refinery named is on land.

I accept the rules and Admin guidance and will only post with a payment method included.

Unfortunately, the scammers are getting better and better: They used to get away with "prominent" pictures - but when they steal pictures from ordinary people´s social media sites, proof of fake is getting a little harder, that´s why we ask I suggest, please post the first message you received when you still have it.

Yeah, the first lengthy text, because this is usually a massmail and sent to dozens of people on the same day. Last, could you please copy the text and then paste it into a forum post rather than posting a chatlog screenshot? It´s for the Google search engines to pick up

Thanks I appreciate the guidance. The chat you see in the text can be quite frequent as a starting point for me. Is it okay to use? I know of the mass ones you mention, they're not too frequent here and seen only on some sites and apps.
