- Fees, and Transferring Procedures

As one of the many thousands laid off by Caterpillar I have about two dozen resumes currently posted on job boards like Monster, HotJobs, CareerBuilder, etc. I get several of these "work from home" offers each week and did some research in the FAQ's of the various job boards.

Most of these emails are either outright pfishing for your info or fake check scams. BUT there is a third and far more dangerous type; the type where you actually get the job and start receiving REAL checks, money orders, and packages to be forwarded overseas. This type can land you in federal prison as you have just become a "bagman" for an international crime organization and are laundering money scammed from your own neighbors and fellow countrymen.

I hate to say that all work at home schemes are phony, but I do believe that 99.9% are. Particularly any that contact you out of the blue rather than you contacting them first.
